NASA Working On 'Lunar Time Zone'

Quick question: what time is it on the Moon?  Right now it's a question without an answer - but NASA is working on it. The agency is working to give the moon its own time zone, dubbed 'Coordinated Lunar Time', or LTC. It's not as simple as it sounds.  The moon's distance from the Earth means time passes slightly faster, by about 56 microseconds per day. A 'lunar time zone' would be important if a permanent moon colony were ever constructed. Source: NewsNation
