Last weekend was busy to say the least! I did find time to catch ONE new film, "Drop"! It was a romantic suspense thriller and I thought it might be fun to watch for my podcast.

"Drop" is yet another film from Blumhouse that surprised me. Yes there was romance, suspense and thrills, just like the preview promised! However, the film dealt with themes like domestic abuse recovery, abuse through technology, PTSD, dangers of technology, control, etc. There's a lot to deal with both in themes and in plot in the 95 minute running time. The film tries to be so many things unfortunately the important message of surviving abuse may get overlooked. First with "Woman In The Yard" with suicide and now "Drop" dealing with PTSD & abuse survival, it seems Blumhouse is tackling some difficult subject matter. "Drop" is very entertaining, but just don't think about it too hard as some of the story & plots are too absurd! Overall a decent one-time watch.
